California's final snow survey expected Wednesday

The final snow survey of the season for California may not produce hopeful results for what is a major source of water for the state. Snow surveys are important because when snow melts, that water goes into the state's rivers and lakes, functioning as another reservoir. But officials with the California Department of Water Resources are likely heading to Phillips Station along Highway 50 in El Dorado County, keeping in mind that the month of March was abnormally warm and dry.
