My Thoughts on Helluva Boss Short 12 SHARK BOY SUMMER

Did you know this in helluva boss. Today the 12th short called shark boy summer released. Is it any good? Let’s talk about it. So this short is special in that it’s a music video. Chaz performs the song called shark boy summer, and we briefly see crim at the end. There’s a new merch collection with the video as well. Like usual the animation and character designs look great, especially the background characters. After the short went live chaz’s voice actor eric did a stream talking about things, and he said that the song is the 12th short. It’s based on a fan made music video with the song from 2 years ago. So basically it started out as an in joke between fans of chaz, but spindlehorse liked it and made an animated music video for it. However i’m gonna be honest here guys this was a bit of a letdown. Fans expected verosika to appear because the promotional image for it had someone that looked like her. It was also advertised as a short, but ended up being a music video. The song isn’t particularly catchy or memorable, and chaz as a character is starting to get on my nerves. The humor also worked with chaz returning in the april fools short, but in this case it feels like they’re dragging the bit out. I think alot of fans would’ve preferred a dedicated verosika short or music video. Obviously no hate to chaz’s voice actor or anyone else, but i just think this was a bit of a miss in my opinion, definitely the weakest helluva boss short so far. So what do you think?
