Before the Marlins moved into loanDepot Park, the franchise spent nearly two decades playing baseball inside a football stadium. From 1993 to 2011, the Florida Marlins shared Joe Robbie Stadium, later known under different names and now Hard Rock Stadium, with the Miami Dolphins. That changed in 2012, when the team moved into a new retractable-roof ballpark built on the former site of the Miami Orange Bowl. The move also came with a rebrand, as the Florida Marlins became the Miami Marlins and opened a new chapter in Little Havana.
