Pup Neglected For YEARS By Owner, Now Battling Tragic List Of Health Issues [STORY BELOW]

This 14-year-old senior pup was found in a shocking state of neglect. His fur was so matted it pulled painfully at his skin, his nails had grown grotesquely long, and his eyes, clouded with glaucoma, told the story of years of agonizing neglect. After a local rescuer posted about Grandpa Miller on social media, Animal Control quickly stepped in. He’s now safe in our care, but the list of medical issues he’s facing is staggering. This poor boy has a 2/6 heart murmur, glaucoma in his right eye, severe dental disease, cataracts, and pyoderma/dermatitis from the filth and matting that encased his body. Grandpa Miller is finally receiving the treatment he’s been denied for so long, including pain relief, medicated baths, and much-needed veterinary care but this sweet senior’s road to recovery is just beginning. Authorities are investigating, and charges may be filed against those responsible. Sadly, they’ll likely only face misdemeanors.
