Bladder Cicada Sounds - Loud alien droning calls

The loud, low-pitched droning sounds of Bladder Cicadas calling in Queensland's tropical rainforest. Male Bladder Cicadas have large, hollow abdomens, which act as a resonating chambers to amplify their song. This species calls mainly at dusk and into the early evening, making these alien-like guttural drones. The Bladder Cicada (Cystosoma saundersii) is a large species of cicada found on Australia's east coast.
