Government Just Banned Petrol 2 Wheelers?

Government has finalised the draft for the Delhi EV Policy 2.0 and everything is changing! First of all, starting April 2028, you won’t be allowed to buy a new petrol bike or scooter in Delhi. So if you’re going to buy a new two-wheeler, it MUST be electric. And from 2027, even the auto-rickshaws running on petrol and CNG will not be allowed for new registrations. For cars, one household is allowed to buy up-to 2 non-electric cars, but, the third car will have to be an EV. Now, if the cabinet approves this policy without any changes, it will replace the existing policy on 30th June. This new policy will be implemented in Delhi first, and may come to other cities later.
