Description
At the time of recording this video there was a moderate chance a tropical low could form into a tropical cyclone this weekend in WA, we track the low and potential rainfall going into next week. It's borderline and that makes it harder to do longer range outlooks - so keep up to date with the Bureau of Meteorology going into this weekend.
Thunderstorms and areas of rain and showers will move into central Australia then further into NSW, the A.C.T and now even parts of Vic may get some. There's also some tropical rain around Cairns in Qld, but large dry areas still remain over parts of that state.
Finally, we compare 3 different computer models with an 8 day expected rainfall map: GFS (America), ECMWF (Europe) and ACCESS-G (Australia) to get a general idea of which areas look driest, which look wettest, and those areas that are perhaps a bit more 50/50.
Due to Waitangi Day in NZ (NZ's national holiday) we have no video on Friday - catch you again on Monday with our next Australia weather forecast.
