22 years and no justice for TJ Hickey

A powerful protest marking 22 years since the killing of Gomeroi 17-year-old TJ Hickey marched through the streets of Redfern on February 14. Gail Hickey, TJ’s mother, has been calling for justice and accountability for her sons death ever since he was chased to his death by NSW police constable Michael Hollingsworth. The family and supporters continue to march every year for justice and accountability. Speakers noted that Aboriginal deaths in custody are on the rise, with 33 deaths recorded last year alone.
