Description

Early in the morning of the the 26th day of the protest camp to stop the NSW Labor government demolition and privatisation of public housing in Waterloo South was forcibly shut down by NSW police. The previous days, residents and housing activists vowed to continue the campaign even if the camp was closed down. Andrew Chuter from Action for Public Housing told Green Left that this privatisation was a billion-dollar theft of public land.
