Description
India has lived through one of the world’s worst industrial disasters — the Bhopal Gas Tragedy.
One would expect that such a history would make us more cautious, more ethical, and more responsible.
Yet today, dangerous PFAS “forever chemicals”, banned or shut down in parts of Europe due to severe health risks, are finding their way into India.
In this video, I talk about:
• What PFAS chemicals are and why they are called “forever chemicals”
• Why factories producing these chemicals were shut down in Europe
• How hazardous machinery is being relocated to India
• The risks to workers, nearby communities, and the environment
• Why this is not just an environmental issue, but a moral and ethical one
If a chemical is unsafe for European workers,
why should Indian workers become guinea pigs?
This is not about development vs environment.
This is about human life, dignity, and responsibility.
History has already taught us a painful lesson in Bhopal.
The real question is — have we learned anything from it?
