Russell pushed back hard on the idea that his faith makes him a de facto Republican, insisting his love of Christ can't be collapsed into any political party. He doubled down on a position he first stated back in 2015, telling people simply not to vote for any of them, regardless of which side they're on. He argued the entire political system, from a reimagined Gavin Newsom to a rebranded AOC or Marco Rubio, exists to accommodate itself no matter who wins, calling the institutions themselves spiritually compromised rather than aligned with any single party.
