Turkey hopes the US-Iran deal will bring 'lasting peace and stability' in the region

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said he was “pleased” with the US-Iran agreement to end the war, describing it as an important step towards regional peace and stability. “We hope that this agreement will fully open the way toward the establishment of lasting peace and stability in our region,” Erdoğan said. He added that Türkiye would continue to support efforts aimed at securing a lasting diplomatic solution. Erdoğan also vowed that “Turkey will do its part in the process”, while urging all sides to avoid provocations or actions that could undermine the agreement before it is formally implemented.
