This is a fully restored and colorized presentation of original archival footage from the Normandy landings of June 6th, 1944. Through a detailed restoration process, the goal of this project is to reduce the effects of time on the original film, improve visual clarity, and carefully reintroduce color based on historical references. From the first approach to the beaches, to the advance through Normandy’s villages and countryside, these images capture a pivotal moment of the Second World War. All footage remains authentic and historically preserved.
