Many students, including myself, feel that the marking has been inconsistent and significantly lower than expected. Since CBSE introduced the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system this year, there is a possibility that some evaluators may not have been adequately trained to use the new system effectively, which may have affected the fairness and accuracy of assessment. If there has been any issue in the evaluation process, students should not have to bear the financial burden of correcting it. As per the previous fee structure, students were required to pay ₹700 just to access a copy of their answer sheet, and an additional ₹100 for every question they wished to challenge. For many families, this is a substantial expense and creates unnecessary financial pressure. It is unfair for students and parents to pay hefty amounts for possible mistakes in the evaluation process. Every student deserves a fair opportunity to get their answer sheets reassessed without worrying about cost. Therefore, I humbly request CBSE to make the re-evaluation process completely free this year, so that students can receive fair and transparent assessment without putting extra strain on their parents’ budget. I sincerely hope this genuine concern will be considered in the interest of justice, transparency, and fairness for all students.
