Triduum to The Sacred Heart of Jesus 2026 - Night three

Welcome to third and final day of our Triduum in honour of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Today's theme is 'LOVE RETURNED FOR LOVE GIVEN' and our prayers are led by Patricia Maguire. Opening Intention – where we will pause and allow your to name your intentions. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, fountain of all love, mercy, and grace, I come before You with trust and humility. I offer this novena in union with Your Sacred Heart, asking for the grace of deeper love for You and placing before You my intentions, especially: (pause and name your intentions) Scripture Reading - John 15:12-14 A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John “This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you. There is no greater love than this that one gives one life for one's friends; And you are my friends if you do what I command you” The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ Brief Reflection On this feast day, we are called to console the Heart of Jesus by returning love for love through lives of charity, sacrifice, and faithfulness. Prayer As we conclude this triduum in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, let us entrust ourselves, our parish, and the whole world to His mercy and love. Let us pray. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, burning furnace of divine love, we offer You our hearts in reparation for the sins and indifference of the world. Reign in our Diocese, parishes, our homes, and our hearts. Make us instruments of Your love and mercy. Sacred Heart of Jesus, we trust in You. Amen
