Open-Weight Models with Chang She

Open-weight models may not match the latest state-of-the-art models out of the gate. But that doesn’t mean they can’t be useful—or even, with a little more work on your part, get you equivalent results. Here’s LanceDB cofounder and CEO Chang She on what’s possible: “Open-weight models, one, are cheaper, and they're much faster.
