So with the intensity in full swing, of course we got a week of pure chaos as we had Celebrini get his car hit and run by the New York Rangers team bus, we saw John Tortorella get fired by the Flyers, Nikita Kucherov knocking a tooth out and looking for it on the ice. We saw some insane goals scored, Sidney Crosby break Wayne Gretzky’s record of 19 point per game seasons getting to 20 consecutive seasons against the Sabres, Alex Ovechkin get to just 5 goals from breaking the All Time goals record and Leon Draisaitl score not just his 50th goal, but also score his 6th OT winner of the season which also an NHL record. We saw the return of Thatcher Demko who made some unreal saves, the LA Kings score an unreal goal and truly unreal, we saw Ovechkin and Fleury play against each other for the final time. The Battle of Alberta got fairly heated this week, we saw Mikkola shoot a puck at the Canadiens with a second remaining as that got heated and a wild card race fully heated, get a wrench thrown into things as a goalie interference call took an Islanders goal away with 10 seconds remaining against the Blue Jackets.
