Green counteracts red So a green tint will cancel red found in the skin tone, leaving blue and yellow to be enhanced, creating a olive skin tone. Purple counteracts yellow So a purple tint cancels yellow, leaving blue and red, ideal for olive skin tones who naturally have yellow/green tones. Orange counteracts blue So orange cancels blue leaving yellow and red. Without blue neither purple or green can be enhanced preventing dull ashy tones and creating golden hues.
