Description
How to badge your vehicle. It’s always important to do a little research before removing the ambulance on your vehicle as some vehicle vehicles do have alignment pins where there will be holes left in your body panel. #oemtools #BMW #bmwe90

Tools/Supplies Needed:
-heat gun
-fishing line or dental floss
-isopropyl alcohol or wax and grease remover
-polishing compound
-machine polisher
-wax
Procedure:
It’s always a good idea to wash your vehicle first to remove any contaminants which may cause damage to your paint.
Next is heating the area with a heat gun.
You still should be able to touch the surface but it will be quite warm. Sometimes you can pull the emblems off with your fingers or you can use the assistance of a fishing line or dental floss. The fishing line will be much more durable. Slowly saw away the double-sided adhesive and removed the emblem fully.
Next is removing the double-sided adhesive. This can be typically heated up with the heat gun and then rolled off with your finger.
Any glue residue left behind can be cleaned up using a wax and grease remover or isopropyl alcohol.
Wash the vehicle again to remove any contaminants which may damage the paint. Next we’re moving on to the polishing process.
Depending on how long that emblem was on your vehicle, you will most likely be left with ghosting. Therefore where the emblem was will still be visible despite being removed. Here I’m using a rotary polisher along with some polishing compound. Work this evenly across the surface, don’t spend too much time on body edges as you can burn through the paint.
After that, you can finish up with a wax of your choice. Once done, here you can see the final results.
