Legends of Le Mans 2026 Imola: Peugeot 908, Evora GTE, RS Spyder LMP2, Aston Martin DBR1-2 LMP1 V12!

Here's some footage from the first round of the freshly created Legends of Le Mans championship, held at Imola Circuit a couple of weekends ago as a support race for the Italian round of the FIA WEC. This racing series is organized by Peter Auto in partnership with Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) and the World Endurance Championship and it aims to gather LMP1, LMP2 and GTE cars homologated in a period ranging from approximately 2006 to 2012 for LMP1s, from 2006 to 2015 for LMP2s and from 2011 to 2020 for GTE class. The grid is mainly composed of sport prototypes while a maximum of six GTEs are allowed. It was fantastic to see not one but four Peugeot 908s on the track at the same time (two 908 HDi FAP, V12 powered ones and two 2011 evolutions, powered by the V8 diesel, simply called 908) but also to hear again the howl of the Lola-Aston Martin B09/60 V12 engine and the scream of the beautiful Porsche RS Spyder Evo.
