Teen cyclist nearly killed in Hallsburg, Texas, hit-and-run now on the road to recovery

Central Texas (KWTX) - Nearly four weeks ago 16-year-old Walker Carroll was hit by a truck while riding his bike. He was left with life-threatening injuries, but now his father says he’s improving daily. Walker was struck in a hit-and-run on Feb. 6 while training for a race that weekend. His father, Dan Carroll, said medical staff described his son’s condition as critical upon arrival at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest. “I had an opportunity to talk to some of the medical professionals that were there that night,” Dan shared, “his pupils were blown… in Doctor Soto’s own words, he came in on the brink of death.” By #IsabellaQuintanilla
