Brown Quail Sounds - Rising, double-note whistling calls

The typical calls of a Brown Quail (Synoicus ypsilophorus) recorded in a grassland in Tasmania. Brown Quail make a few different sounds including these distinctive two-note rising, whistled calls. Other sounds include a short, sharp chirp and higher-pitched flat double-note whistles. This species is also known as the Swamp Quail.
