Description
The prairies are well into severe weather season and Alberta has seen quite a few tornadoes this year, most recently near Edgerton and Dillberry Lake Provincial Park on Wednesday.
To break down how that all unfolded and how the season is going so far is Dr. David Sills, director of the Northern Tornadoes Project.
Dr. Sills says his organization has a team on the ground that’s “investigated that entire track that went through Dillberry Lake Provincial Park and there was some really significant damage there, trailers thrown, boats thrown, lots of trees down, that sort of thing and the track extends right into Saskatchewan.”
As to the severity of the tornado, Sills categorized it as “At least an EF1 and likely an EF2,” he told Global News.
