Description
This epic walk takes us across the whole of the Lulworth Firing Range, something that is not always available to the public. With ancient sites, tales of smugglers (as well as a visit to their CAVE 😱), amazing views......not to mention STEEP CLIMBS!!!!!, this was a memorable walk along the Jurassic Coast of Dorset on a beautiful, sunny day in April 2025. Hope you enjoy!
The places visited on this walk are, Whiteways Hill, Flower's Barrow, Arish Mell, Mupe Bay and Mupe Rocks, the Smugglers' Cave, Fossil Forest, Lulworth Cove, Bindon Hill/Radar Hill, Worbarrow Bay, Worbarrow Tout, Gad Cliff, and the deserted village of Tyneham.
The visit to Worbarrow and Tyneham was perhaps very pertinent since the last living resident prior to the MOD taking over the area, died in April 2025.
