Description

Livestock futures markets experienced broad strength during the session, supported by robust fundamentals and sustained demand. Live Cattle futures continued an upward trend, with April rising 2.95 to 244.57 and February reaching 242.55, as boxed beef prices and demand remain firm. Feeder Cattle futures also gained ground, with the March contract up 5.68 to 373.60, as a slower slaughter pace provided additional market support. In the hog complex, Lean Hog futures established a new contract high amid rising pork cutout values. The April contract increased 1.65 to 99.80, while the June contract reached a high of 112.02 before facing some technical selling. High trader confidence and supply concerns continue to underpin the complex, with CVOL for Lean Hog futures sitting at 19.8%. https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/agriculture.html #Cattle #Hogs #Futures
