Sir Keir Starmer braced the UK for a long war in the Middle East as he addressed the nation from 10 Downing Street. The Prime Minister told a press conference on Thursday afternoon: “This conflict could continue for some time.” He also insisted the UK-US “special relationship” was operating “right here”, following criticism from Donald Trump over Britain’s response to the conflict.
