Gang of Japanese Monkeys Feed Voraciously on Unripe Apple Fruits in the Orchard

A troop of Japanese monkeys (aka snow monkey; Macaca fuscata fuscata, family Cercopithecidae) intruded an apple orchard at the foot of a mountain. Unfortunately, the orchard had yet to be enclosed by electric fences to drive off wildlife animals. The hungry monkeys climbed apple trees (Malus domestica, family Rosaceae) to pick unripe fruits and eat them one after another. I could spot more than two albinos (or leucistic?) in the troop. One was an adult female carrying a suckling baby with wildtype fur. The other one was a juvenile. Captured in the cloudy late-morning (around 10:10 AM) of early-June 2026 in Japan.
