Nigeria: Bola Tinubu expected in Jos after deadly gun attack and mob violence

The chaos came after unidentified gunmen killed around 30 people in a bar over the weekend, prompting accusations on social media — without evidence — that Christians were targeted on Palm Sunday, which marks the run-up to Easter. With violence threatening to spill across the city, the University of Jos ordered the evacuation of its student housing over the course of Wednesday and Thursday, saying that the state government was providing transport.
