They deep fry whole cloves of fresh garlic in lard and pile them on top, creating one of the most intense garlic ramen bowls I’ve ever had. If you’re Korean, this is seriously hard to resist. It’s pretty common in Japan to add a lot of minced garlic to ramen, but I’ve never seen a place go this far with whole cloves. At first, it looks super oily and heavy, but it’s actually not greasy at all. The rich, savory broth combined with the deep garlic flavor fills your mouth in the best way possible, I was completely satisfied.
