Ferrets Meet Cats – What Can Go Wrong and How to Prevent It

When my ferrets first met my cats in the garden, there were a few swipes — and some of you raised important concerns. You’re right: when ferrets and cats meet, things can go wrong very quickly. A single swipe could mean a serious injury, especially to a ferret’s eyes. In this video, I share the full context behind those first interactions, show real clips of what happened, and explain the precautions I took to keep both cats and ferrets safe.
