Description
In this video, I build a mountain cabin using abandoned pallets and raw logs — completely from scratch on a steep hillside.
The terrain made everything harder. Every board, every log, and every tool had to be carried up the mountain by hand. I started by clearing and leveling the ground before laying a solid base to support the structure on the slope.
Instead of buying materials, I used abandoned pallets and natural logs from the area. Each pallet was dismantled, cleaned, cut, and repurposed into walls, flooring, and structural elements. The logs were shaped and fitted to create a strong frame capable of handling mountain weather.
Step by step, the cabin began to take form — foundation, framing, walls, roof structure, and finishing details. No heavy machinery. No crew. Just careful planning, patience, and a lot of physical work.
This is the full building process — transforming discarded wood into a functional off-grid mountain shelter.
Start to finish.
