[February 16th] Ephesians 5:14 calls believers to "arise from the dead," highlighting the difference between human initiative and divine inspiration. Human effort alone cannot fulfill visions and ideals; only when God inspires do we find the miraculous power to act. Spiritual initiative requires overcoming by faith. Life and strength come as we obey God's command, just as the man with the withered hand was healed when he stretched it out. God does not lift us; He empowers us as we rise.
