How One Mule Changed Our Entire Life [Clyde's Story]

This mule changed my life. When I first got him, he wasn’t what I expected. Not even close. He had a lot of rough edges… bucking, bolting, rearing… and there were plenty of moments where I didn’t know if we were ever going to figure it out. He tested me in every way. But I stuck with him. Day by day, I kept showing up. Learning, adjusting, trying to be better for him. It wasn’t quick and it sure wasn’t easy, but little by little, things started to change. We started to understand each other. Somewhere along the way, he stopped being something I was trying to fix… and became a partner I could trust. Now he’s my go-to mule. The one I swing a leg over without a second thought. We’ve packed into the backcountry of Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming together. We’ve hunted deer and elk. We’ve covered miles of trail all over the West, including Custer State Park. He’s done things I once couldn’t have imagined from him. We’ve been through clinics with Ty Evans and Buck Brannaman, and every step of the way, he’s risen to the occasion. Not perfectly… but honestly. And that means more to me than anything.
