Formerly known as King Kobra at Kings Dominion (1977-1986), this first-of-its-kind Schwarzkopf shuttle loop coaster utilizes a weight-drop launch to propel the vehicle through a loop and up a 138 feet (42 m) tall spike at speeds of up to 53 mph (85 km/h). Did you know that the coaster was relocated to Jolly Roger Amusement Park in Ocean City, Maryland (1987-1989) before moving on to Alton Towers (1990-1996), where it was known as Thunderlooper?
