INGREDIENTS
To Activate Yeast:
- 1/2 Cup Warm Water
- 1 & 1/2 Tsp Sugar
- 1 & 1/2 Tsp Active Dry Yeast
Dough:
- 2 Cup All Purpose Flour/Maida
- Activated Yeast Mix
- 1 Tsp Pizza Seasoning Mix
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1 Tsp Garlic Paste
- 1/4 Cup Fresh Coriander
- 1 Tbsp Oil
- 1/4 Cup + 2 Tbsp Water
- 1 Tbsp Butter
Cheese Sauce
- 1 Tsp Butter
- 1 & 1/2 Tsp All Purpose Flour/Maida
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 1 Cheese Cube or 2 Cheese Slices
- Salt
- 2-3 Tsp Water
METHOD
- Add sugar to lukewarm water and mix until dissolved. Now add yeast and mix well. Cover and set aside for 10-15 minutes for yeast activation.
- Take maida and add the other ingredients and mix well. Now add yeast mixture and water.
- Knead this dough for 15 minutes if kneading manually or for 5-7 minutes using a hand beater with dough hook attachment or a stand mixer.
- Cover and rest the dough for 1 hour or so until the dough doubles in size.
- After proofing, divide the dough into 2-3 portions and roll into a long sheet as shown in the video. Use flour if dough stick to your hand or the counter.
- Cut into strips and shape as shown in the video.
- Now steam these for 15 minutes at medium to high flame.
- For cheese sauce, heat butter and add flour. Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes or until the raw smell is gone. Now add milk and cheese to a pan and gently stir keeping the heat low. Add a pinch of salt if required. Mix until you get smooth sauce.
- Serve the hot steaming garlic bread with cheese sauce and enjoy!
