Hundreds gather to support Palestine Action activists as they are sentenced for 2024 action

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside of Woolwich Crown Court on Friday as four Palestine Action activists were given a terrorism connection in their sentencing, a first in UK legal history. The four activists -Charlotte Head, 23, Samuel Corner, 30, Leona Kamio, 30, and Fatema Rajwani, 21- targeted a UK factory of Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems in August 2024 and destroyed multiple pieces of equipment. They were held in custody for 15 months before being released on bail: then they were reincarcerated after a jury found them guilty of criminal damage in May. Over 70 protesters who gathered were arrested, with some allegedly raising signs that indicated support for Palestine Action, which has been proscribed as a terror organisation in July last year.
