Tongan spearfisherman catches dinner for his family at an impressive depth

This spearfisherman is an accomplished free diver who lives and works on one of the islands in the Kingdom of Tonga. People here look to the ocean for survival. The ocean provides food, and also a means of income for those who work as guides. A spotted sweetlips takes cover in the coral 15m (45 feet) from the surface. The diver sees the fish and swims down until he is within range. He holds his breath and calculates how much time it will take to get the fish and then return to the surface. He catches it with the first shot and then swims back up. This large fish will feed the fisherman's family and he is thrilled with his success as he catches his breath.
