എറണാകുളം ബസ് സ്റ്റാൻഡിന്റെ നവീകരണസമയത്ത് വെള്ളം ഒഴുകിപ്പോകാനായി പൈപ്പ് ഇടാൻ അനുമതി ചോദിച്ചപ്പോൾ റെയിൽവെ ഓരോ ന്യായം പറഞ്ഞ് നീട്ടിയെന്ന് മന്ത്രി ​കെ ബി ​ഗണേഷ്കുമാർ. അതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നെ സർക്കാർ സർവീസുകൾക്കായി നമ്പറുകൾ അനുവദിച്ചപ്പോൾ റെയിൽവെയുടെ അപേക്ഷ പരി​ഗണിച്ചില്ലെന്നും മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. എറണാകുളത്തെ നവീകരിച്ച കെഎസ്ആർടിസി ബസ് സ്റ്റാൻഡ് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു മന്ത്രി. During the inauguration of the renovated Ernakulam KSRTC bus stand, Transport Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar revealed a standoff with the Railways. The Minister stated that when the state sought permission to lay pipes for drainage during the stand's renovation, the Railways repeatedly delayed the process with various excuses. In a pointed response, the Minister added that when the Railways later approached the state government requesting specific numbers/clearances for their own services, the government declined to prioritize their application.
