This 3-year-old boy is suffering from a devastating case of Sarcoptic mange. Large patches of his fur are beginning to fall out, and his skin is debilitatingly irritated. Our team is doing everything we can to give this deserving soul a fresh start and help him find his forever home, but right now, we’re struggling to afford the critical treatment he needs to heal. Will you help Korg on his path to recovery? A kind stranger found Korg wandering the streets and brought him to the shelter just in time. Right away, the shelter staff knew they didn’t have the funds or resources to treat Korg’s condition, and reached out to our team for help. We took one look at this sweetheart’s photos and said yes. We may never know how long he suffered on his own—and it shatters our hearts to imagine the pain he endured all alone before help arrived—but this sweet boy is finally safe, and we will stop at nothing to ensure he recovers. Sarcoptic mange, also known as Scabies, is a skin infection triggered by parasitic mites. It is extremely painful and often leads to hair loss and inflammation. In Korg’s case, this condition left him unable to open his eyes. He was visibly in distress. We’ve already started treatment, and little by little, his skin is healing, but there’s still a grueling road to recovery ahead. Even with his condition, Korg has remained sweet and trusting. He is such a precious boy. We are confident that he will make a wonderful companion for someone one day. He just has to get better first—and you can help make that happen.
