Serving Without Expectation, Kingdom Thinking That Changes the Heart

Expectations shape everything. They shape marriages, preaching, friendships, and they shape service. But what happens when we carry the wrong expectations into serving others? Jesus makes it clear in Luke 6 that kingdom service is different from worldly service. The world gives to get. The world loves to be loved back. The world serves when it benefits. Jesus says, do good and lend, expecting nothing in return. That changes the motive. It shifts the focus from applause to obedience, from recognition to righteousness. True service is not manipulation. It is not a strategy for praise, influence, or position. It is simply discipleship in action. This lesson explores how to serve with a clean heart, free from the need for approval.
