SIU clears Toronto officer in fatal Danforth GO station shooting

A Toronto police officer will not face criminal charges in the fatal shooting of a 32-year-old man at Danforth GO station late last year. Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit says director Joseph Martino found no reasonable grounds to believe the officer committed a criminal offence in the Dec. 6, 2025 incident.
