Regenerative braking captures energy during deceleration, while the start-stop system ensures quicker and quieter restarts. The lithium-ion battery is compact, weighing just 7.6 kg, and is housed under the rear seats without impacting interior space. The pickup maintains its legendary off-road capabilities with no compromise to its 700 mm fording depth, 3,500 kg towing capacity, or 1,000 kg payload. For the first time, the Hilux features the Multi-Terrain Select (MTS) system, allowing drivers to choose from six modes—Auto, Dirt, Sand, Mud, Deep Snow, and Rock—to optimize traction and stability in various conditions. The system adjusts throttle response and braking for improved control, with different display backgrounds for each mode on the multi-information screen. The Hilux GR Sport II serves as the flagship model with a sportier design, exclusive styling elements, and performance-focused upgrades. It features revised suspension, improved handling, and a bolder stance, making it the most capable and dynamic Hilux ever, whether on-road or off-road. Both new models come with Toyota Safety Sense, which includes an enhanced Pre-Collision System capable of detecting pedestrians at night, cyclists during the day, and oncoming vehicles or pedestrians at intersections. Adaptive Cruise Control with Traffic Sign Recognition helps maintain a safe and efficient driving experience, adjusting speed based on road conditions and traffic signs.
