NZ drone rules go from 5 to 29 pages overnight

I am reporting CAA NZ to the government's Regulations Review Committee. The effects of the 2023 Civil Aviation Act come into effect today in New Zealand and rather than simplify the rules or bring them into line with other countries, they increase the rules and advisories from just five pages to a total of 29 -- an almost six-fold increase. To make things worse, they still haven't introduced risk-based regulations, relying instead on selective enforcement, a very bad concept indeed. Remember to fly safely and don't use the rules as a crutch!
