OLD Vintage Tractor Left SITTING for YEARS in a FIELD - Will it START?

In today’s episode, I tackle a will it start challenge with a 60 year old Nuffield tractor that has been left to the elements. This vintage machine has been sitting forgotten in a field on this farm for years, slowly sinking into the dirt and weathering the harsh Aussie sun. It’s a classic "barn find" scenario, except there’s no barn - just rust, weeds and no history on the machine whatsoever. The big question is whether this old girl has one more breath left in her, or if the years of neglect have finally won the battle. Before we can even think about a will it start attempt, we have to dive deep into some serious diesel engine troubleshooting. A diesel that’s been sitting this long is a different beast entirely. We need to check for missing parts, inspect potentially old or contaminated fuel and see if the injector pump hasn't seized. Working in the middle of a paddock means we’re fighting the flies and the heat while trying to figure out why this legendary British power plant was left as it was. To make this will it start mission even more difficult, it’s clear that several parts appear to be missing. Whether they were scavenged for other machines years ago or were removed for repair, we’re starting this rescue on the back foot. We’ll have to get creative with what we have on hand to bridge the gaps and see if we can get enough compression and fuel delivery to bring the Nuffield back to life. It’s a true test of bush mechanics to see if we can overcome these missing pieces.
