Making a dessert out of PASTA?! ✨Recipe: Ingredients: • 15 jumbo pasta shells • 4 quarts neutral oil (for frying) • 15 Oreo cookies (cookies only, filling removed) • 2 cups cold heavy whipping cream, divided • ½ cup prepared chocolate pudding Directions: 1. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package directions until just al dente. Drain thoroughly and lay them on a tray to dry completely. The drier they are, the crispier they will fry. 2. In a deep, heavy pot, heat the oil to 350°F. Fry the shells in batches of 3–4 at a time for about 1–2 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Remove and place on a wire rack to drain. Allow to cool completely. 3. Separate the Oreo cookies from the filling and pulse the cookies in a blender or food processor until they form fine crumbs. Set aside. 4. Dip the bottoms of the cooled fried shells into the Oreo crumbs to create a cookie “crust” layer. 5. In a chilled mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Divide the whipped cream evenly into two bowls. 6. Fold the chocolate pudding into one half of the whipped cream until fully combined and smooth. 7. Fold some of the Oreo crumbs into the second half of whipped cream to create a cookies-and-cream filling. 8. Pipe a layer of the chocolate pudding cream into each shell, followed by a layer of the cookies-and-cream mixture. 9. Serve immediately and enjoy this crunchy treat! 🐚🍮
