Montreal Metro vacuum cleaner train seen again! - Saturday, July 18, 2026

Enjoy this new video of the Montreal Metro vacuum cleaner train seen once again at Crémazie station. This train vacuums the dirt and grime from the metro track area. Because my first video of the vacuum train got some comments saying the footage was a bit shaky, I made sure this one was smooth. See the original video here: https://youtu.be/uTP6MaUv8YE For this video, I was with @Vinctreal and @Trainsfan-101 and earlier with @thymetransit This train is based off of the MR-63 design and has been in service for over 60 years. The train vacuums the train track area. It's a giant vacuum cleaner for the metro tracks. It's incredible the STM has kept this in service for so many years and in great condition. This train will soon be replaced by newer models of the vacuum train, as already there has been a request by the STM for replacements. I assume there will be a bidding process, etc and the new ones will be in service eventually. I'm not sure at what step this process is at as of now.
