How did Archaeologists Identify the Gladiator School of Rome?

Right next to the Colosseum lies a surprisingly overlooked ruin — the Ludus Magnus, Rome’s largest known gladiatorial training school. But how do archaeologists actually know this is the Ludus Magnus when there’s no inscription identifying it?
