Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition caused by compression of the median nerve as it passes through a narrow tunnel in your wrist, and it shows up as numbness, tingling, or aching in your thumb, index, and middle fingers. The carpal tunnel is a tight space, and when the tendons inside it become irritated or swollen, they press directly on the nerve and trigger those symptoms. The good news is that the nerve can be decompressed and freed up with the right exercises, without surgery. WHAT CAUSES CARPAL TUNNEL SYMPTOMS?
