The site features biographies, sounds, videos and pictures of important drummers and session drummers, as well as a drum clinic. this site also has an lesson section where drummers can learn from professionals.

The free site was created in 1997, in Switzerland by Bernhard Castiglioni. Drummerworld was recognized by Drums!magazine (print version discontinued) as best Drumming Website and so received the Drummie award 7 years in a row.
