Listen to the Sun in Real-Time!

You are hearing live radio emissions from the Sun, captured using my ground-based antenna setup. Solar flares can produce powerful radio bursts, which may appear as sudden spikes, crackles, or changes in the audio. What you hear is directly influenced by activity on the Sun. Radio instruments used: • Radio JOVE single dipole (20.1 MHz) • Radio JOVE single dipole (custom cut, 40 MHz) • SuperSID monitor (VLF 15–25 kHz) Radio JOVE detects solar radio bursts, while SuperSID monitors changes in Earth’s ionosphere caused by solar activity. Visuals: The imagery shown is from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO), providing a near real-time view of the Sun.
